Are you facing an
examination? A dozen unknown subjects clawing at you?
Think of the person next
to you in the bus. Perhaps she has an ailing father at home. Perhaps none.
Being poor makes you
nervous? You couldn't afford the pizza today?
Think of the child
living on the flakes of rolls sticking to its oil-clad papers.
Taking off on a flight
gives you jitters? Air-pockets? Landing?
What about the people
living by the rail tracks, those travelling on the sleeper class, or the flight
which got bombed down, uncountable body-parts.
Are you nervous? Really?
Loss of a dear one?Loss
of reputation? Being blamed of being irresponsible? Of a heart-attack? Of a road
accident?
Well, think of
something. No, not pancakes and maple syrup. Though you could do that too.
Unless the slight thought of diabetes catches on too. Think instead that you
have a many-million movie releasing day after.
You are flying, eating,
smiling, waving.
Think of the families
that would benefit from a 'hit'. Think of the loan that would not be
sanctioned, if not.
Think.
Are you nervous for a
reason enough?
Think not. Do.
