Being Crafty
About two years back when Flipkart did not sell ink online, and Crossword did not stock any colour other than blue/black of Quink, I went looking for a red Camlin in College Street -- needed one for correcting scripts exclusively. I found it. But then the shopkeeper (opposite Paramount) suggested I try Sulekha. He added that he had just one old bottle of a strange colour left -- something which is a hue between a bright violet and a lazy pink. I did. I could not keep using it because frankly, that colour is not me. I was on a cleaning spree this morning, and found the bottle. The remaining ink has become sediment-like and I now plan to revive and use it up to colour, not write. And see if it is more than su-lekha.
These are coasters coloured out of that ink. They now add to the value of the English Dept. We offer you tea/coffee on coasters. Boredom can be beneficial!
Happiness is a Link
Many many years ago, when I was more Assamese than Bengali, I got irritated and tired having to correct people, 'Kuntala, not Shakuntala'. Thus, I came to know Shakuntala, and Ridoy, and Suo Rani and duo Rani...
His graphic words have always been a special journey, his colours a dreamscape.
This is so befitting a survival link in an otherwise filthy year: and, a special thank you to all the people who made this project possible; you have touched hearts, not just enriched resources!
